Cooper Carry’s Hospitality Studio provided architectural services for one of Florida's hospitality crown jewels, The Ritz-Carlton, Naples. This extensive resort renovation and expansion elevates the guest experience to new heights. The renovation included the addition of the new 74-key Vanderbilt Tower and conversion of existing guest rooms into new suites, which include living rooms, separate bedrooms, and five-fixture baths. In addition, the renovation effort included a refresh of existing guest rooms, all with unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico.
The tower’s spacious new club lounge on the lobby level features a bar, a private meeting room, and an outdoor terrace overlooking the pool. The redesigned lobby stays on trend by creating a stronger connection between the food and beverage areas and the public areas of the hotel. The original glamour of teatime at the Ritz provided inspiration for the Champagne theme, exceeding guests’ highest luxury standards.
The expanded family pool as well as the brand-new adult pool includes premier seating. Each deck features private bungalows, in addition to the traditional fabric-enclosed poolside cabanas. The spa, originally opened in 2001, also received a refresh, with updated treatment rooms and public areas. The stunning transformation will ensure guests return year after year to this treasured property on the Florida coast.
The Ritz-Carlton, Naples was set to open December 2022, but was hit by Hurricane Ian at category 4 intensity when it made landfall in southwestern Florida on September 28th. Our team worked tirelessly with contractors and ownership to fix the extensive damage and finish the project, which officially opened in July 2023.
Since its renovation and expansion, The Ritz-Carlton, Naples has received numerous accolades, including being named to Travel & Leisure's 100 Best New Hotels of 2024.
