A nod to the established brand identity of Hyatt Centric, The Johnson Studio at Cooper Carry created a rooftop space, inspired by the world traveler - eclectic, energetic, and full of conversational elements. The space offers expansive views of the city, enhanced by the trendy Buckhead location of the property.
The design of Spaceman was inspired by the flow of light and sound – but experiencing these elements through the lens of wood textures, rich jewel tones, and mirrored surfaces, all to connect personal stories of world travel.
Guests are encouraged to move from space to space. Upon entering the rooftop and walking across the lobby’s stenciled concrete floor, guests can wander between two outdoor terraces, the lounge, or the bar. The first terrace lends itself to craft cocktails at sunset, amid hand-painted tile archways, glowing lanterns, and Turkish rugs. The other terrace offers cozy banquette seating beneath a pergola canopy, a green space for activities, and a TV wall. Macrame panels provide a backdrop for ostrich leather banquettes, while rich velvet, jewel-toned chairs underneath a thatch textured wood beam ceiling bring an eclectic warmth to the space.
The bar is anchored by two columns adorned in bronzed mirrors that reflect the art bottles sitting on the glowing shelves, all framing a view of the evening sky. An undulating silver chain ceiling sculpture, lit like the setting sun is visible from the highway, beckoning new guests to come for the experience.
