RiverPlace
Greenville, SC
RiverPlace is a public / private, multi-phased, mixed-use development in Greenville, South Carolina and is named for its adjacency to the Reedy River. Located on a 10-acre site at the southern edge of the central business district (CBD), RiverPlace is the single largest development in the City’s history, with roughly 720,000 square feet in nine buildings. The project, designed to inject life into the city center, is composed of public / private urban spaces, street front retail, multi-family residential, mid-rise office, a hotel, and below grade parking. RiverPlace has created a truly memorable public space, Fountain Square, consisting of a multi-level cascading waterfall and public participation fountains. The project features a new River Walk with greater accessibility for public enjoyment. RiverPlace provides active retail and restaurant opportunities, and together with the Peace Center has become the outdoor living room of Greenville.
