Oakville Triangle is a group of underutilized industrial properties between an existing park and a new transit-way in Alexandria. The area is several blocks (within ¼ of a mile) from the proposed new Potomac Yards Metro Station. The proposed plan redevelops the industrial properties into a mixed-use neighborhood center anchored by a robust retail environment. The plan provides a new neighborhood center introducing residential development east of Route 1 where the old rail yards once ran. The plan includes a hotel, ground floor retail, town houses and residential (condo or rental) towers. We are working closely with the City of Alexandria to create a parallel small area plan to improve the traffic and other urban TOD issues throughout the neighborhood.
