Chef Jim Noble traveled all over the South from the Carolinas to Texas sampling ribs and sandwiches of legendary pit masters. His goal was to celebrate the history of pitmasters and the legends that came before him with his new restaurant, Noble Smoke.
Noble Smoke is housed in a building built in 1953 by WH Transit as a maintenance facility for trucks, with huge garage bays and soaring 20-foot ceilings. Now the historic building has been reimagined into an eclectic take on a barbeque experience. The design concept emphasizes holding on the decades of use of this space. The industrial style, cast iron pendants hanging over the dining area near the kitchen are dated mid-20th century and were shipped over from Amsterdam. The open kitchen features a chopping block front and center, surrounded by a 23-seat legends counter to honor the Southern BBQ greats both past and present.
