Opened in 2022, the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB) Center for Business Technology + Innovation provides a new gateway experience for the University of North Georgia campus and showcases the innovation and opportunities of its programs. The new facility supports programs in accounting, law, computer science, information systems, economics, finance, management, and marketing. The college is also home to three centers of excellence: BB&T Center for Ethical Leadership, Center for Entrepreneurship + Innovation, and Center for Cyber Operations Education.
The MCCB Center offers learning environments to help prepare students to become highly qualified business professionals. The college’s pedagogy is based on theoretical knowledge of a wide range of business topics, with an equal focus on applying the knowledge students have learned.
Connecting students to industry events is a significant priority for the college, as part of its goal to guide students into quality careers. The facility offers amenities for the college to host events, industry partnerships, presentations, student pitches, and networking events.
Collaboration spaces are strategically placed throughout the building to foster interactions and teamwork. These spaces also serve as a hub for the college and provide a sense of community.
