Institute for Digital Innovation Concept Design

The Institute of Digital Innovation represents technological creativity at the collegiate level. Our design focuses on the connection and collaboration between the corporate entities, academic areas, and industry.

We created a cutting-edge architectural style to establish the center as one of the most advanced building structures in the region. Paramount to the design of the institute is the allocation of collaborative environments. These begin in the revitalized plaza, which includes water features to capture rainwater and mask the noise of an adjacent busy street.

As people enter the building, there is an architectural “stitch” to create a physical and conceptual connector for all floors of the institute. The stitch threads through each floor, providing a variety of open collaboration and community space. Each floor accommodates additional collaboration and amenity spaces, with furnishings to encourage users to stop and linger.

A series of roof terraces are distributed throughout the building. At the pinnacle of these terraces is the central terrace that supports the largest interior commons space. The views from the building focus on the connections to the campus as a whole and the newly formed activated plaza with retail.
