Working with the Central Atlanta Progress/Atlanta Downtown Improvement District and the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau, Cooper Carry designed a new vision for one of downtown Atlanta’s primary pedestrian corridors; Andrew Young International Boulevard. International Boulevard connects several downtown hotels to the AmericasMart wholesale trade center, Centennial Olympic Park, and the Georgia World Congress Convention Center. Cooper Carry is leading a series of workshops and meetings with stakeholders and officials to transform the corridor into a safe, memorable, connected, well maintained, walkable thoroughfare that enhances the visitor experience.

The visioning process will create opportunities for public art, special event spaces, new street furnishings and landscaping, and opportunities for new retail development that will enhance and activate the street. The planning process is reviewing current traffic patterns and service access to adjacent businesses in an effort to make the corridor safer and more enjoyable for pedestrians.
