Krista has been with Cooper Carry since 2011 and was promoted to Principal in 2022. Her passion for projects with a strong community impact drove her focus on the interrelated fields of housing and education. She is a leader in the Residential and Pre-K-12 Education studios, where she leverages her expertise in managing complex programs of various scales. Krista works closely with her clients to articulate their vision and translate it into a solution appropriate to the given environment and community, building longstanding relationships over the course of multiple projects.

Krista graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. After graduation, she served a year with AmeriCorps, working with Cedar Rapids Habitat for Humanity, igniting her commitment to community service.  Since then, Krista has continued her involvement with Habitat for Humanity, as well as the Atlanta Food Bank, Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers, and Tender Knots. She is an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE), and the International Living Future Institute, and she holds NCARB certification.

Some of Krista’s recent projects include the Cherry Creek High School Master Plan, AMLI Brookhaven, and Eastern Wharf Phase III.
