Fearing’s – The Ritz-Carlton Dallas
Dallas, TX
For those who like variety, Fearing’s provides four distinct indoor dining experiences. The dark paneled lounge features the mesquite wood Rattlesnake Bar with its leather-wrapped bar rail offset by a cast bronze rattlesnake head and tail. This lively bar contrasts the formal ambiance of The Gallery dining room where custom artwork framed in glowing onyx highlights the white paneling, hardwood floors, and 10-foot long crystal chandeliers. The casual dining experience of Dean’s Kitchen features a stunning expo kitchen with custom copper hood, willow art glass screen and settee-style seating. Overlooking the magnificent garden and dining terrace, the Sendora brings the outdoors inside into a beautiful garden pavilion. This project was a new build-out and part of the initial interior construction of the Ritz-Carlton hotel.
As famed travel journalist Peter Greenberg wrote in 2018 in his story, The Growing Trend of Ground Floor Hotel Bars, "Arguably the most popular hotel bar in Dallas, Fearing’s Rattlesnake Bar is often packed two deep, with crowds spilling out onto Western-inspired couches and into the Live Oak bar outside ... The Rattlesnake Bar has a friendly, casual atmosphere and is part of the seven-setting Fearing’s Restaurant, located on the lobby level of The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas and is the brainchild of famed chef Dean Fearing. Aside from its innovative cocktails, it’s known for its weekday happy hour, cool bathrooms, and its large outdoor patio, complete with fireplace. Design features include a honey onyx-front bar with a rail of rattlesnakes, along with rich mahogany-paneled walls inlaid with leather and golden glass chandeliers in a clustered cow horn design."
