Bethesda Row Revitalization

About 30 years after Cooper Carry completed Bethesda Row, we were tasked with revitalizing the mixed-use development. The goal was to infuse new life into public spaces while honoring its legacy as a hub for early adopters, first-to-market brands, and innovative concepts.

The renovation included various improvements to the facade and streetscape, such as new landscaping, lighting, and outdoor furniture. Additional enhancements included new paving, signage, remodels of office entries, and refreshed paint at key locations. Notable features include a custom sculpture, a fountain, benches, raised planters, and a trellis.

Each street within the development has a unique and carefully curated character, emphasizing a simple design approach that minimizes visual clutter. This focus helps highlight tenants and products and enhances the overall visitor experience.
