Leadership
Verdant is a conceptual design for a mixed-use community of multifamily, office, and retail that sits at the epicenter of one of ta city's busiest corners. Wellness was a priority for the office and multifamily buildings, which bring in nature through the use of balconies. This as well as the community greenspaces provided inspiration for the branding of the development.
Our Branding team chose the name Verdant because it connotes both a strong and solid workplace feel and a softer, attractive lifestyle vibe. We paired that with a visual identity that reinforces the V in Verdant. The leaves and berries highlight the plant life and wellness woven into the design, and the hidden stag evokes the power and presence of the city.
A lush, landscaped lawn provides space for community activities, like yoga, movie nights, and recreational play, while the terrace area sets the stage for bigger events, like fireworks. We also created a valet space tailored to bikes and scooters, with short-term storage for visitors to secure their things. A new retail concept rounds out the spaces.
To encourage walkability to and from the development, we created buffer zones to promote safety away from the heavy traffic. Wide plazas and patios are buffered by low walls to mitigate grades, while landscaping zones foster a sense of privacy. Two-story podiums and rooftop dining contribute to the busy, engaging street life.
